Garden Themed pop-up Exhibition

I’m writing on behalf the Somerset Archives and Local Studies Service (part of the South West Heritage Trust). We’re running a garden themed pop-up exhibition as part of our Discovery Saturday on 11 July (10am-12pm) at the Somerset Heritage Centre in Norton Fitzwarren.

The exhibition will mainly comprise original documents from our collections relating to gardens and allotments, some dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. It will include original planting plans created by Gertrude Jekyll for Hestercombe, planting plans for Barrington Court in the early 20th century, seed and plant catalogues, gardening journals and correspondence, and illustrations of flowers. We will also be running a small plant swap.

Further details can be found on our ‘what’s on’ page here: https://swheritage.org.uk/events/plant-swap-and-display.
